This Spring 2020 season, some gorgeous wedding trends walked on this week’s red carpet. Both the MTV VMAs and Venice Film Festival happened this week and we see similarities in style on the red carpet to down the aisle. While Jasmine Spring 2020 collection stays on top of the wedding fashion game, any bride, bridesmaid, and mom in Jasmine will be on trend. These 2020 wedding dress trends epitomize high fashion making your entire bride squad feel like celebrities.

Bridal Trends

Suit Jackets

We saw TONS of suit jackets at the VMAs, but the most memorable was clearly our beloved musician, Taylor Swift. Swift donned a colorful Versace oversized suit jacket with Christian Louboutin boots on the red carpet. While this style of dress is very chic and oxymoronic, it defines masculine femininity. Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? During the runway show this past Sunday, the Jasmine crepe jumpsuit along with a tuxedo suit cape made its debut in Jasmine Couture Spring 2020. And it did not disappoint. The plunging neckline adds a touch of femininity to the suit giving brides a sultry appeal. This 2020 wedding trend suit jacket paired with a long train is simply gorgeous.

Boxy Shoulders

One fashion-forward icon we are all look up to is Heidi Klum. Her appearance at the VMAs was a total show-stopper- a full sequined mini dress with a heart cut-out on the chest. Its distinguished look can thank the pouf boxy shoulders. 2020 wedding trends? More like 1980’s wedding trends! This ode to the 80’s seen on our Jasmine Couture Mikado gown with mutton long sleeves is to die for. Its pockets, adorned with a beading trim, add a bit of sparkle to its clean manner. It’s clear that this Jasmine Couture A-line gown is made for a bride who wants both a vintage classic look and just a hint of Studio 54 fun.

Simple Silk

Model, Isabeli Fontana, without a doubt, stunned in a silk mustard yellow Alberta Feretti dress. A bare midriff with chest pleats, but the simplicity of the fabric and its disposition spoke for itself. Wearing minimal jewelry and a smokey eye, Isabeli’s uncomplicated look was merely due to the construction of the mustard silk on her body. In addition to the simple silk look, the dress fell under another 2020 wedding trend category- see below 😉 No embellishments required. Jasmine Collection Mikado mermaid gown displays a gorgeous classicality to it. With its asymmetrical off-the-shoulder straps, the fabric doesn’t need sparkle or tulle to give it the right energy- the way the fabric situates itself on the body is all the liveliness it needs. A simple silk gown wedding trend that is here to stay.

Oversized Bows

An overstated bow was especially obvious on actor, Billie Piper at the Venice Film Festival red carpet. Although, this style is seen throughout many different looks of the film festival and VMAs. Her silver metallic sequin with contrasting lace dress was topped off with a large black embellished bow. And the loud and fun sequins toned down with a lace trim and the bow created a flirty essence to Billie’s overall look. Privé by Jasmine and Jasmine Couture designed drew inspiration from the CAMP: Notes on Fashion exhibit in NYC as well as historic fashion moments, respectively. Above all, the oversized bow offers a fanciful aesthetic to these dresses, but also adds pizzazz with its exaggeration.

Plunging V-Necks

This trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Hence, actor, Alessandra Mastronardi hosted the Venice Film Festival in a jaw-dropping black strapless ball gown with pearl and rhinestone details. Tulle ruffles adorned the plunging sweetheart neckline. This distinct neckline sure is pronounced in more than just at the red carpet. Walking down the aisle, you see many brides feeling beautiful and sexy with a deep V neck. This 2020 wedding trend perfects on the Jasmine Couture Mikado A-line gown inspired by Dior. Moreover, the double jewel-encrusted waistbands draw the eyes to the bodice. Its elegance in nature gives the sexy plunging neckline some class.

Old Hollywood Glam

As they always say, fashion recycles itself. Actress, Juliette Binoche, embodied an old Hollywood glam style with a fitted, curvy strapless gown with long sleeves. The dress dons a plunging neckline, but its silhouette screams old Hollywood and all its glamour. You can’t forget old Hollywood when you talk about historic fashion. Just like old Hollywood glam, the simple silhouette of Jasmine Collection stretch crepe long sleeve fit-and-flare dress is timeless. It’s sexy and sultry, but also radiates grace. Above all, deep V neckline is enough skin to show without giving away too much.

Mother of the Bride Trends

Capes

If you don’t know who Jonathan Van Ness is, stop what you’re doing and watch Queer Eye on Netflix. JVN is fashionable fabulous in all of the ways possible. The QE hair stylist appeared on the VMA red carpet with a cape! The cape served some serious glam with JVN’s round toe heels and short shorts. The Jasmine Jade Couture stretch soft crepe is a beautiful MOB gown accessorized with a Jade Tiffany chiffon convertible cover-up. This cape tastefully covers the areas that mothers want without sacrificing its luxurious aesthetic. Wear the cape as a cold-shoulder top or let the cape drape down as a high-low cover up. Capes are definitely having a 2020 wedding trend moment.

Statement Sleeves

Olympic skier, Lindsey Vonn stepped out on the red carpet at the VMAs with a black suit jacket style dress with big butterfly sleeves. The sleeves were adorned with wavy strips of satin fabrics for added shine. Furthermore, the bell sleeves are the star of the style with its over exaggeration as well as shimmer. Statement sleeves definitely set a 2020 wedding trend for mothers as sleeves are important in her garments. The Jade Couture soft crepe gown is both dreamy and bold. The dramatic angel sleeves made of Tiffany chiffon that fall down to the floor gives this mom all the fierceness.

Bridesmaids Trends

One-Shoulder Straps

The one shoulder dress is making a comeback and Jenny Farley (J-Woww from the Jersey Shore) slayed the trend Monday’s VMA red carpet. Her highlighter yellow one shoulder ruffle strap was a stunner! Jenny’s thigh high slit added a little sexiness along with her slicked back high pony. Spring 2020 JB bridesmaid collection features a charlotte chiffon two-tone separate. With a cute tie on the one-shoulder strap, the flowy top has a little bonus flair to it. at the same time, the fit-and-flare skirt silhouette is very fitting, so your bridesmaids feel beautiful too. And there are perks to this piece too- can be worn again as separates!

Color-Blocking

Actress, Catherine Deneuve made herself known with a bright orange/red long vest over a black gown. The vest, trimmed with feathers, is a bold piece with its retro collar. The intense hue against the simple black dress is a flawless color-blocking note on the red carpet. So color-blocking is an up and coming 2020 wedding trend as brides will have a little more fun. With different tones for both Jasmine bridesmaids dresses and floral arrangements, the choices are endless. That is to say the B2 Spring 2020 Collection poly chiffon two-tone combo dress changes the wedding industry game. By using unique color combinations, these dresses will be a hit for the upcoming wedding season. In addition, the different neckline options still give brides that mix-and-match style as well. Something that brides love.

That is to say, these 2020 wedding dress trends killed it on the runway, on the red carpet, and now we expect to see them on the aisle. They’re all gorgeous when paired with one another, but also is self-explanatory by itself on a wedding dress. Brides, mothers, and maids will feel like superstars with these 2020 wedding trends. While there are way more trends that we’re seeing in all bridal, MOB and bridesmaids, these styles stood out the most and translated through both red carpet events. See more of Jasmine on the runway from our previous blog post here. All in all, what style will you wear on your wedding day?
