Today we talk with Jasmine Bride, Caroline, and her fairytale story. From their 21 century first meeting to a glowstick party, read all about the couple’s special day!

Meet Caroline and her husband, Bruno. Living in Montreal, these two met in the most 21st century way- on a popular online dating site. In similar You’ve Got Mail fashion, they exchanged a few emails and met in person shortly after. Not long after they started dating, Bruno had the opportunity to go work in France for six months. Caroline was not sure there was a clear moment when they knew they were each other’s “ones”. “I think I truly knew I wanted to be with him a few weeks before he had to leave.” Of course she was very happy for him to have this great work opportunity, but she was crying pretty much everytime they discussed him leaving. Sadly, she was a complete mess at the airport the day of his flight, but the two kept in touch and she flew out to visit him for two weeks. “Then, it was just clear we were going to be together.”

Caroline always wanted to get married, but she didn’t expect the proposal to happen on that day at all. Bruno decided to propose  by recreating their first date. Bruno and Caroline met downtown at a specific subway station and had walked to a sushi restaurant. The night he proposed, they showed up to the restaurant they had gone to on their first date, but it turned out that the restaurant closed down. In hindsight, she could sense that Bruno was a little nervous with the restaurant being closed, but since Caroline had no clue it was going to be such an epic night, she didn’t see the big deal. Really, any other restaurant would do! Thankfully, they quickly found another sushi restaurant alternative. Once they sat down, they were each poured a glass of wine and Bruno started telling Caroline how happy he was. She was truly clueless as to what was about to happen. Suddenly, he was down on one knee and proposing with her dream rose gold engagement ring! Caroline quickly said yes and the rest of their date was such an amazing happy blurr!

Caroline and Bruno’s wedding was held in the beautiful region of Bromont, QuĂ©bec in the area near where Bruno grew up. The couple lives in Montreal, but wanted to have their wedding where nature was accessible and visible since they love to go hiking and being surrounded by nature. They chose Bromont because of its beautiful scenery, though it also made sense to be close to the town where Bruno is from.

Their wedding day was everything they had hoped for. It was so filled with love and positive energy and truly an amazing party! Their day unfolded at Auberge, Bromont from morning to night. The couple started the day apart, Bruno with his two groomsmen and Caroline with her mom, sister and three bridesmaids. The girls had mimosas and had their hair and make-up done. The guys had whiskeys and smoked some cigars while getting ready.

The ceremony was held outside on the patio with beautiful views of the Bromont mountains and the start of the fall colors. Caroline and Bruno had a civil ceremony where they exchanged vows surrounded by 80 of our close friends and family members. The newlyweds took some pictures around the property and met back with their guests for a delicious four-course dinner. Guest enjoyed a variety of cupcakes for dessert. And! They still talk about how delicious the cupcakes were. Everyone danced the night away until 2am and even finished the party in the hotel rooms. From morning to night, Bruno and Caroline felt such a explosion and demonstration of love from everyone present on their special day.

The dĂ©cor was centered on nature with wooden center pieces made by Bruno’s dad, greenery (eucalyptus) with touches of plum. Caroline put her crafty skills to use and hand-made the geometric copper centerpieces that held the floral arrangements. Her bridesmaids wore a grey-blue dress while the groomsmen had it as an accent. They had a photobooth allowing guests to create GIFs and receive them instantly. That was a huge hit and created some amazing memories. Therealso was a polaroid station for their guestbook. Guests created the most heartfelt, authentic notes and signatures. It made a great souvenir for guests to take home as well. For the party, Caroline and Bruno had an outrageous amount of glowsticks that were a huge hit. Everyone had multiple glowstick accessories for the dance party. A local artist from Montreal started the *Just Married Jacket* faction here. Caroline took part in this great sisterhood and got to borrow the “Just Married Jacket” for our wedding day. Since it gets chilly in the fall in our area, it was great to have this real badass jacket to keep her warm and to be able to be part of this movement.

Caroline’s dress shopping experience was the best. She picked Espace Blanc de Blancs because they offered an amazing selection of gorgeous boho dresses. Justine, the store owner helped her pick a few dresses to try on with the styles she wanted. Justine was so exceptional in helping Caroline pick this dress and, not to mention, so patient. “She has the best spirit and is an amazing entrepreneur!”

She knew she wanted a dress that had an open back and had to have lace. Caroline always imagined wearing a fitted dress, but after trying a few different styles then trying her Jasmine dress, she just knew it was *it*. Her mom, Bruno’s mom, her sister and one of the bridesmaids were there to help her and their reaction when Caroline walked out in this dress was also a testimony of being the one. “It just felt so me.” The mix of champagne and ivory and the flowyness of the dress was just jaw dropping. She loved the neckline which was super flattering and the details of the straps on the back. “I also never thought it would be possible to be extremely comfortable in a wedding dress but this dress was the best. I didn’t want to take it off.”

This dress is completely stunning. Caroline thought she wanted to be in full white/Ivory but the mix of colors were so elegant and it just felt so her. It’s hard to explain, but she just felt so comfortable in this dress. She could just see herself marrying her man in this dress. It made her feel so beautiful and elegant, but also playful. It didn’t feel like a traditional wedding dress, which she loved. It was out of the ordinary and the train was so long and fun to play with; she just loved all the details. The lace was also gorgeous.
