Dress Shopping at Abbott’s Bridal

Katerina has a big family, but she wanted to keep things simple when it came to saying yes to the dress. She describes her experience at Abbott’s Bridal in Canton, OH as “very wonderful!” She brought along her mother, future mother-in-law, grandmother, godmother, sister, best friend, and cousin. These women are Katerina’s right-hand ladies and she could not have made a better choice without them. Like most brides, she went in thinking she wanted a certain style. Her mind was set on what she dreamed of her entire life. Again, like most brides, Katerina ended up picking out something completely different. With the help of Abby and her team at Abbott’s Bridal, Jasmine Style T192054 was made to make Katerina feel like a princess. She tried on a wide variety of dresses and ended up finding the perfect dress surrounded by those closest to her. A moment she will never forget…

When Katerina tried on her Jasmine dress, her eyes just simply lit up. Everyone in the room started crying and she knew it was the one. It was so elegant and beautiful and she just knew that she was going to marry the love of her life in this dress. She immediately stopped the consultants from bringing in any more dresses to try on because that was it! Her Jasmine Bridal dress made her feel like an absolute princess. “It was the most beautiful dress I have ever seen, I didn’t want to take it off in the store! My eyes lit up once I tried it on and I immediately started crying.”

Wedding Day Details

Katerina and her husband met in the summer of 2016 when they both vacationed in the beautiful Kalymnos, Greece with their families. They went to high school together when he was a senior and she was a freshman, but their paths somehow never crossed (seriously just like the movies!!!). His cousin is one of her good friends and introduced the two that summer at a beach party and the rest is history! Katerina knew Emmanuel was the one very quickly into their relationship. She felt a stronger connection with him more than anyone else she had ever been with. He made her feel so special and loved from the beginning and she knew from then on he was the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with.


In August of 2017, the couple went back to Kalymnos- the place they met just a year prior . He took her to one of her favorite restaurants and proposed at sunset with an incredible and romantic view. Both of their families came and met the newly engaged couple at the restaurant soon after. Their wedding was on November 24, 2018 in their hometown of Campbell, OH. The wedding took place at their church – Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church. The special day was an incredible day filled with lots of love, laughter, family, and friends. Katerina recalls the the whole day feeling like a whirlwind and going by so quickly. “It was very magical! We absolutely could not have planned a better day. We were married in the church we grew up in and were surrounded by so many friends and family who loved and supported us from the beginning.” Neither one of them felt nervous or anxious, just very excited to get married and spend the rest of their lives with one another.

Our Jasmine bride got married to the man of her dreams in her dream dress. She couldn’t picture herself in any other dress. They had a very Big Fat Greek Wedding with over 800 guests!! They had so much family fly in from all over the world to celebrate with the couple. Their family and friends come from New York, Florida, and even Greece! Katerina and Emmanuel spent their wedding day surrounded by so many loved ones and it could not have been more perfect. The entire wedding party and guests danced all night at the reception and did not make it home until almost 4:00 AM. Talk about partying all night long!
