Our #RealJasmineBride, Precious, is a bride we will never get tired of both looking at her photos and sharing her story with everyone. She has ALWAYS dreamed of having an all-black dress and, as you know, we at Jasmine Bridal pride ourselves on the special orders and customizations we have the ability to make for each individual bride. Keep reading to see Precious’s stunning custom wedding dress we created for her special day with husband, Larry, in the city of love.

Precious and her husband, Larry, had met through a mutual friend that introduced them. Before him, she was a single mother of two and her life revolved around them. She was unsure how it would work as Larry came into their life without having kids of his own. “As a mother, consistency and stability is very important. Larry came not only into my life, but my kids’ lives too, and showed me that they meant just as much to him as they do to me. Family is everything to me and having a partner who shares the same values and qualities as myself is a must have. I knew he was the one for ‘US’ early on.” Larry sounds like the perfect husband.


We asked the bride how Larry proposed.
“Haha! This just tickles me every time I tell it. So we were on our way to drop our children off at the sitters before leaving for our ā€œBaecation cruiseā€ lol. He kept getting lost and missing his turns. Larry NEVER gets lost (heā€™s a truck driver and obsessed with maps and directions). He started rambling on and on about how much he loves me and asked me to marry him because heā€™s been riding around with this ring in his pocket. He told me his intentions was to propose on the ship, but he got so nervous that he thought he would lose it. Needless to say it was the perfect proposal.”

The couple’s wedding was September 17, 2018 outside of the Notre Dame in a garden in Paris, France. OMG swoon. Larry and Precious decided to elope in Paris, so that morning they were ready. Both of them had their dress and tuxedo laid out like, as Precious describes, “you would have your new outfit laid out for the first day of school lol”. She had two bouquets, one fresh flowers and one forever flowers- the second one arrived first. They were black like her dress, with a hint of ivory like Larryā€™s tux, so perfect. Then her hair and MUA showed up. Precious says at that point it was starting to kick in that she was getting married today. Her wedding planner arrived with their private car and personal driver to take them to their wedding venue. After their intimate garden ceremony, the driver and photographer took them around Paris for wedding pictures. And they ended the beautiful day with dinner at Le Solferino.

Prior to Brides By Elizabeth, Precious had called and went into so many shops and no one carried or would make a black wedding dress. Some even looked at her as if the color was unheard of. “I know typically women go for the traditional white or ivory colored dress, but I knew I wanted a black dress well before I even knew Larry. It has always been my dream.” Precious called BBE (Brides By Elizabeth), and they told her that they could give her the dress of her dreams. Precious was willing to make that 2 and a half hour drive to try on her dress and couldn’t not have been more glad that she did. Precious picked her dress style from 3 different dresses BBE had in the store within just an hour. Bride Precious said, “I couldnā€™t believe I was about to have my very own wedding dress custom made. EEK! I was ecstatic! But thatā€™s not even the amazing part. She was able to have it fully done in only 6 weeks! Like what else does a bride need at that point.” The wonderful experience and her dress were such a blessing to Precious and her husband and she is forever grateful.

Precious knew her Jasmine Bridal dress was the one because it was 100% hand picked by her. “When I tried my dress on for the 1st time I cried. Like it was beautiful. My dress train was EVERYTHING. I felt like a true queen.” She most definitely looked like a queen!
