We’d like to introduce new segment on our blog- Retailer Spotlight- where we will feature a Jasmine Bridal Retailer in these posts, of course! We want to, not only share with our readers the different locations, but also experience a day in the life of a bridal shop. From the special service brides get during their appointment to some words of wisdom, keep scrolling to find out why brides love The Something Blue Shoppe in Hartselle, Alabama!

The Something Blue Shoppe, owned by Sarah Morris, turns 51 years old this year. It is North Alabama’s oldest full service salon, serving the local areas of Huntsville, Birmingham, Cullman, Madison and Florence. Brides and bridal parties from southern Tennessee, including Nashville, travel to The Something Blue Shoppe to say yes to the Jasmine dress. Sarah bought the established bridal store over 30 years ago. The store was built in 1915 and immediately upon entering, you can feel the history of happiness and joy that Sarah and the consultants make brides feel. With its baby grand piano warmly welcoming you into the shoppe, The Something Blue offers a dream experience of your life.

José made his way to The Something Blue Shoppe two weekends ago during their Privé trunk show. Privé by Jasmine, José’s bridal collection new to Jasmine, is exclusively sold at The Something Blue, features silk gowns that are completely customizable. All brides were given a complimentary sketch of their Privé gown done by José almost instantly after falling in love with it.

Bridal Experience
When brides shop at The Something Blue Shoppe, first comes the appointment. Each consultant works one-on-one with the brides. Their consultants take the time to get to know a bit about you, your dream and what styles you are interested in seeing. They will then walk with you through the racks and allow you to choose some of your favorites. This gives the consultant a feel for what brides gravitate towards and her own unique style. The stylist will also pull some wedding dresses that they think will look amazing on your body. Our Bridal manager stylist, TJ, is a valued partner in every appointment. He is amazing at just knowing what you will wear.
The gals and guys at The Something Blue absolutely love what they do, where they do it and, most of all, their brides. “Our customer service is touted far and wide as being exceptional. You are offered drinks, sometimes snacks, serenaded by our pianist, and you and your party will be treated like royalty.” The Something Blue Shoppe also offers a private after-hours appointment called “the Royal Blue.” It’s so much fun to have your stylist and our manager, TJ, all to yourself. This gives the bride ease and comfort without all of the hustle and bustle going on in the background and really connect with TJ to find the dress of her dreams.
Jasmine Bridal’s Privé by Jasmine, Jade Couture, and Jade collections can be found at the Something Blue. Sarah has been working with Jasmine Bridal for years and relies on us for our design, quality, and exceptional delivery. She also gives a cute shout-out to our sales representative, “our rep, Debbie is the bomb!”

Bridal Industry
When asking her what she loves about working in the bridal industry, Sarah personally loves the simple elegant fabrics of today’s brides. “They are timeless. I also have a fondness for the trumpet skirt with rich embellishments.” Seeing those big smiles and glistening eyes when they find “the one” is one of her absolute favorite perks. It never gets old. She also has some words of advice for future brides: “Don’t bring too many opinions to your appointment. Yours is the only one that matters. Bring the 2 people whose ideals you value the most. It won’t be a mistake.”
