Eco-conscious and ethical weddings, or ‘Green Wedding’, have been becoming more popular. They are any wedding where your trying to decrease the impact of your event on the planet. Couples achieve this by integrating eco-friendly invitations, dresses, flowers, photography, food and so much more. From choosing to get married outdoors to save on energy costs, or reusing ceremony decor at your reception there are many options to create the eco-friendly wedding you want.
Florals are dramatically changing from the classic flower and greenery, to ornamental grasses and dried flowers. With grasses replacing florals we are seeing much more dramatic bohemian-style centerpieces and bouquets being created. Reception florals are also seeing this change – along with lower centerpieces and dramatic hanging floral decor, which allows for people to sit closer and less crowding on tables. This new decor is creating a huge statement at weddings and we are loving it!
If you are the kind of bride who wants to incorporate the most in-the-moment trends into her wedding then check out the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year Living Coral! Living Coral is not a typical wedding color, with its bright hue which is inspired by ‘lively underwater ecosystems’, this saturated orange-golden shade is described by Pantone as “sociable and spirited”. Grazing tables a new trend that has been seen within other industries, but is now making an appearance in the wedding industry! It’s like the old wedding buffet table, but is specifically designed so you and your guests can pick up a nibble here and there instead of grabbing a whole plate of food. This creates a more personal experience and these feasts can set a casual tone for your wedding, while also wow-ing everyone in attendance with an abundance of delicious options.
Wedding dress trends include glitter and all over sparkle, bold ball gowns and plunging necklines. All three trends create gorgeous looks that are both daring and sophisticated. Over-the-top sequins, tonal beading and metallic embellishments will turn your wedding into a glittery affair.
